Bishop's Liturgy and Commemoration of Archpriest Jovo Krstić in Nalježići
In the Church of St. Basil of Ostrog in Nalježići – Gornji Grbalj, His Grace Bishop Paisje of Diocletia celebrated the Holy Bishop's Liturgy this morning in commemoration of Archpriest Jovan Krstić, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of his repose.
In his liturgical sermon, the Bishop said that both the angelic, heavenly, and earthly worlds testify that everything God created was created well.
"They testify that there is absolutely nothing that God created that is not good. However, communion in God and in goodness and in love cannot be violent. That is why God gave man freedom. to love God freely and to walk His path according to his personal choice,” said Bishop Paisje.
The Bishop said that when a person is immersed in sin, he loses the sense of fear of God and shame before people.
“The true and just judge is God. That is why we should not forget to pray to God even for a single day,” said Bishop Paisje.
After the memorial service for Archpriest Jovo Krstić, Archpriest Mijailo Backović said that the Lord did not give us the years of our lives to waste, but to earn them.
“To earn them in eternity. Therefore, every wasted year that we regret should be regretted if it was wasted,” he said.
He said that Archpriest Jovo Krstić held the entire territory of sixty-four churches in Grblje.
“Now we also have three monasteries. Ninety-five square kilometers of the holy land of Grbalj were held by Archpriest Jovan Krstić, who came here with his wife Stana and daughters. Later, he also received his great joy, his son Lazar. He, together with other priests, with the great help of Father Momčilo Krivokapić, managed to revive the temples, including this one, together with the residents of this village,” said Father Mijajlo Backović
