Competition for enrollment in the first class of theological seminary
Based on Article 9 of the Decree on Seminaries and the decision of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church no. 477/record. 333 of May 9 of the current year,

C O N C U R S
For enrollment in the 1st grade of theology in the 2024/25 school year. years
which contains the following conditions:
- that the candidate is not older than 18 years
- that he is not married
- that he finished elementary school, at least with very good results and exemplary behavior
- that he is mentally and physically healthy
- that the candidate has a developed ear and singing voice
- that the candidate has basic knowledge of the catechism and knowledge of the feasts of the Lord and the Virgin, the Serbian language and literature, and general and national history.
Schooling in the seminary lasts five years, with the obligatory passing of the final theological exam.
All admitted students will be accommodated in the school's boarding school, and will enjoy the same: food, heating, lighting and treatment in case of illness.
Requests for admission are submitted immediately to the competent bishop, through the competent parish priest.
The following documents are attached to the application:
a) original certificate from the register of baptisms, issued by the competent parish priest;
b) a certificate of completion of school, together with the student record book and grades;
c) medical certificate that the candidate is mentally and physically healthy;
g) a certificate from the competent parish priest on the governance and suitability for the priestly rank and that he is not married;
d) written consent of parents/guardians that the candidate can study theology;
đ) a written commitment by himself and his parents/guardians, confirmed by the competent parish priest, that they will regularly pay the administration of the seminary a certain contribution for their support in the boarding school (apart from parents and guardians, these obligations can also be given by dioceses, church municipalities and monastery administrations, in in which case the student in question is their protégé).
The application is taxed according to the Rulebook on the collection of church fees.
The entrance exam for candidates of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in the premises of the Metropolitanate in Cetinje, starting at 11 a.m.
