
"Days of the Serbian Assembly" - 106 years since the unification of Montenegro and Serbia
The Serbian National Council of Montenegro, as in previous years, on the occasion of the 106th anniversary of the Great Podgorica Assembly of the Serbian People in Montenegro and the Day of the Unification of Montenegro and Serbia, December 1, 2024, is organizing the cultural event "Days of the Serbian Assembly". As part of this event, a symposium on the poetic work of Blagoje Baković will be held in the Serbian House in Berane at 9 am, and a ceremonial academy will be held in the Cultural Center of Berane, starting at 7 pm.
In addition to the organizer, the President of the Council, Dr. Momčilo Vuksanović, who will address the guests, the ceremonial speech will be given by the President of Matica Srpska, Prof. Dr. Dragan Stanić.
The event also includes a ceremonial presentation of the annual award of the Serbian National Council of Montenegro, "Prof. Dr. Božidar Bojović - GLORY TO A SERB" to this year's laureate, Prof. Dr. Dragan Stanić, president of Matica Srpska from Novi Sad.
The KUD "Kolo", the Choir "Mladenci" and the guslar Željko Vukčević will take part in the rich cultural and artistic program. As part of the "Svečana akademija" (Festive Academy), a poetry evening will be held, featuring renowned Serbian writers from the region, such as: Miroslav Aleksić, Blagoje Baković, Mirko Vuković, Budimir Dubak, Milorad Durutović, Novica Đurić, Darko Jovović, Zoran Kostić, Milan Mihailović, Igor Mirović, Ivan Negrisorac, Đorđe Nešić, Nenad Jero Radenković, Selimir Radulović, Živojin Rakočević and Radomir Uljarević.
The cultural and artistic program will be hosted by Dragan Alorić and Ivana Rmuš.
