His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije arrived in Moscow

On March 15, 2024, the First Hierarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Patriarch Porphyry, arrived in Moscow to attend the prayer service and funeral of the Vicar Bishop of the Serbian Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church, the head of the temple of the Apostles Peter and Paul in the courtyard in Moscow, Bishop Anthony of Moravia . Bishop Antonije rested in the Lord on March 11.
At the Vnukovo airport, His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Mr. Porphyry was welcomed by the president of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Antonije of Volokolamsk, adviser to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Archpriest Nikolay Balashov, deputy chairman of the DECR Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk, head of the protocol sector DECR Abbot Teofan (Lukyanov) cleric of the courtyard of the Serbian Church in Moscow, Archimandrite Aleksandar (Kotov), brother of Bishop Antoni, cleric of the Šabac Eparchy of the Serbian Orthodox Church, archpriest Milan Pantelić, official of the Secretariat for Inter-Orthodox Relations of the Serbian Orthodox Church. DECR Anrej Jurevich Hoshev. Among those who welcomed Patriarch Porfiri was the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to the Russian Federation, Momčilo Babić.
Patriarch Porphyry was accompanied by the Reverend Bishops: Irinej from Bačka, Gerasim from Upper Karlovac, Hesihije from Valje, Stefan from Remesija, Nektarije from Jegar, Petar from Toplice, Archpriest Đorđe Stojisavljević, Deacon Dragan Radić, Deacon Ivan Vasiljević, Deacon Miroslav Nikolić, Subdeacon Dejan Nakić and Subdeacon Vladimir Jelic.
On Saturday, March 16, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and His Holiness Patriarch Porphyry of Serbia will serve the Holy Liturgy and funeral for the newly presented Bishop Antony in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.
The Holy Liturgy will begin at 10 am.
