HOLY LITURGIES IN KOTOR ON THE FEAST OF SAINT CLEMENT

In the churches of Kotor parishes, today on the feast of the Holy Hieromartyr Clement, numerous believers, including the youngest, received the Holy Sacrament of Communion along with their loved ones.

The Holy Liturgy in the Church of St. Nicholas in the Kotor Old Town was celebrated by the parish priest of the First Parish of Budva, Archpriest Boris Radović, in the Church of St. Basil of Ostrog in Dobrota, Archpriest Nenad Kalem, and in the Church of St. Peter of Cetinje in Prčanj, Priest Vojislav Mijatović.

Before he was crucified, Saint Clement was appointed bishop in Rome by the Apostle Peter. Emperor Trajan exiled him to Cherson. He converted so many unbelieving inhabitants of that region to Christianity that in one year 75 churches were built there.

Today the Church celebrates the Hieromartyr Peter, Archbishop of Alexandria, and the Venerable Paphnutius.

Today is the Feast of the Presentation of the Most Holy Theotokos, and the Christmas fast is in progress.
