His Eminence the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Mr.  June 7, 2024, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and His Holiness Patriarch Porfiry of Serbia, he arrived in Tver - on a visit to the Eparchy of Tver and Kashin of the Russian Orthodox Church.

In the Holy Transfiguration Temple, Metropolitan Ioanniki welcomed His Eminence the Metropolitan of Tver and Kašin, Mr. Ambrose with the clergy, it was announced on the official website of this diocese.

Metropolitan Ioannikije, dressed in a bishop's mantle, served candles in front of the ark with the relics of the Holy Prince Michael of Tver, as well as the icons of the Resurrection of Christ and the Transfiguration of the Lord.

After that, Bishop Ioannikije performed a prayer service and offered prayers for the completion of the construction of the main temple of the Tver Metropolis and the restoration of its bell tower.

The priest's choir of the Holy Transfiguration Cathedral in Tver sang at the service.

The respected guest was greeted and thanked for his visit by Metropolitan Amvrosije of Tver and Kashin:

"With this Easter greeting, with Easter mood and joy that you have arrived in Tver land, I warmly greet you on behalf of all the clergy, monastics and pious laity of our Tver land. And again and again I express my joy that you accepted our invitation. I sincerely thank you for visiting this reconstructed Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord, which is located in the most important place of the Tver region, and prayed that the Lord would bless the completion of its reconstruction, the construction of the bell tower and the establishment of a full liturgical and communal Orthodox life in this place. When I visited your eparchy several times, and then the metropolis, I saw how the temple is the center of cultural, social, prayer, liturgical and simply human life of the city. For me, this was a very good lesson and a real example. And we are trying to take this example first of all here, in the reconstructed cathedral church, when everything is finished. We learn from you how to communicate with people, especially young people, without creating artificial obstacles to Christ, so that everyone can approach God and receive healing and salvation."

After that, Bishop Ambrose presented an Easter egg to Metropolitan Ioanniki.

His Eminence Metropolitan Joanikije thanked for the hospitality and expressed his admiration for the decoration of the temple, which will be consecrated at the end of this month, emphasizing that he is glad that it is under the vaults of the cathedral church of the Tver region and that he is amazed by the fact that the princes and archpastors of the Tver region are buried in the place Cathedral of the Transfiguration. The bishop thanked for the invitation and presented Metropolitan Amvrosi with the bishop's staff as a gift.

At the end of the service, Metropolitan Ioanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral paid homage to the relics of the Saints of Tver and blessed the worshipers and the clergy.
