Metropolitan Ioannikije worships and leads the procession in Budva on Troijinčidan
His Eminence the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Mr. Joanikije and the clergy will serve on Trinity Day, June 23, the Holy Bishop's Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Trinity in the Old Town of Budva, starting at 8 a.m. After Vespers with kneeling prayers, which begins at 6 p.m., His Eminence Metropolitan Ioannikije will lead the procession around the Old Town.
The Serbian Orthodox Church Municipality of Budva, on the occasion of the Pentecost holiday and 220 years of the Church of the Holy Trinity in the Old Town, is organizing the Holy Trinity festivities, during which a Spiritual Academy will be held on the plateau between the churches at 8 p.m. on Trinity Day.
On Saturday, June 22, at 9:00 a.m., the Holy Liturgy will be celebrated in the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael and a memorial to the priests and benefactors of the Old Town churches, and at 6:00 p.m. a festive vigil. On the same evening, on the plateau between the churches, there will be a concert by the choir "St. Vasilije Tvrdoški i Ostroški" from Trebinje, starting at 8:30 p.m.
On Whit Monday, June 24, the Holy Liturgy will be served at 8 a.m. At 20:30 on the plateau between the churches, there will be a presentation of the reprint of the work "A Brief History of the Orthodox Serbian Society of Budva".
The Trinity celebrations began on Saturday, June 15, with a voluntary blood donation campaign in the doorway of the Church of St. Thomas in Bečići, organized by the DF "Čovjekoljubje" from Budva in cooperation with the Society of Voluntary Blood Donors "Radivoje Pima".
