His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Mr. On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, Porfirje ceremoniously signed a contract for scholarships for students of theological faculties and academies, after which a round table was held on the topic "Religious education in the 21st century - perspective and compliance with the education system in the Republic of Serbia".
In addition to His Holiness, the signing ceremony was also attended by the Bishops of Bačka, Mr. Irinej and Raska-Prizren Mr. Teodosije, director of the administration for cooperation with churches and religious communities, Dr. Vladimir Roganović, as well as representatives of other religious communities.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the director of the administration for cooperation with churches and religious communities, Vladimir Roganović, spoke, and after the signing of the scholarship agreement, His Holiness the Patriarch of Serbia, Porfirije, gave an appropriate speech. Agreements were also signed by representatives of other religious communities in Serbia.
After signing the contract, His Holiness took an active part in the round table, where, among others, topics such as theological education in Serbia, amendments and additions to laws in the field of secondary and higher education, and accreditation of higher education institutions were discussed.
The round table was also attended by His Holiness bishops: Irinej from Bačka and Teodosije from Raška-Prizren, representatives of other religious communities, Mr. Roganović, faculty deans, seminary rectors as well as professors.
