His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Mr. On August 28, 2024, on the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Porfirije served the holy bishop's Liturgy in the Rakovica monastery and on that occasion he ordained deacon Darko Nikolić, a long-time religious teacher of the Belgrade-Karlovica Archdiocese, to the rank of priest.

- Our celebration of today's great holiday and address to the Most Holy Theotokos, like everything else in our life, should be based on faith, which is at the same time humility, and according to the words of the Most Holy Mother of God herself: Let it be to me according to Your word, Lord! It is the realization of our weaknesses, the realization that we need God - Patriarch Porfirius preached and emphasized that the event of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as Her entire life, is the most wonderful miracle of God and the result of the synergy between God's love and human faith. - Her life should be an example of true faith and calm for every Orthodox Christian. The seed of faith that is in the heart of every person must be watered with love for Christ and true faith, as we can see in the example of the Holy Mother of God - emphasized Patriarch Porphyry.

- The entire Church of God rejoices with spiritual joy, because today we celebrate the Blessed Mother of God, the Mother of God and our Savior, but also the Mother of all people who were baptized in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, Mother by love, Mother by faith, Mother by closeness, Mother for her willingness to always be with every person who longs for truth, justice and love, Mother for every person who longs for salvation, Mother who understands our every weakness, every failure, every fall and who is always there to see every spiritual wound , every scar inflicted by sin, to hear the cry of each of us, to listen to our needs, to hear our prayers and that, although they are weak and weak, they are strengthened by Her love, Her purity, Her prayer, so that through Her they are lifted up and raised before the Throne of Her Son and Her God and our God and Savior - said the Holy Patriarch.
