In the prayerful presence of His Holiness the Serbian Patriarch Mr. Porfiria, His Eminence the Bishop of Novobrd, Mr. Hilarion, Vicar of the Patriarch of Serbia, served the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts on Friday of the fourth week of Great Lent - Holy Forty, when we prayerfully celebrate the Venerable John the Ladder, on April 12, 2024, in the Church of Saint Panteleimon in Mirijevo.
Bishop Hilarion was served by the clergy and deacons of the Belgrade-Karlovica Archdiocese, in the prayerful presence of the presbyter and deacon of the archbishopric vicarage of Vračar-Gročan, as well as the faithful, among whom was a large number of the youngest Svetosava residents.
On that occasion, the clergy of the archbishop's vicarage of Vračar-Gročan approached the Holy Secret of Confession.
Patriarch Porphyry addressed the gathering, who wished us to spend the rest of the fast in prayer, effort, and effort, in the hope that God's love is so great that nothing can prevent it, that when we strive, regardless of whether we are weak or weak, God embraces us as his own.
"That's why prayer is really important. Prayer is showing God that we love Him and confirming that we need Him. It is ours to pray and to try to live in love, to be patient with each other, to be ready to help each other, to understand each other, that there is room in our hearts, that there is space for others, for our neighbors. Everything we do, and when we think, and when we speak, and when we do something, whether it's good or bad, we do it to God. And then when we do it in relation to our neighbors, and then when we do it in relation to nature, and then when we do it in relation to ourselves, all of that is first of all in relation to God. It is God who is our teacher and that is where we get the grade. How much peace we have, how peaceful we are and how much joy we have will depend on that assessment, because we were created to rejoice, for joy to be the meaning and content of our lives", said Patriarch Porfirije.
After the Liturgy, Serbian Patriarch Porfirije spent time with the youngest.
