Presentation of number 322 of Svetigora: Together we celebrate the most holy Spirit
Duhovski, No. 322, Svetigore - the textbook for religion, culture and education of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral - offers its readers rich and beautiful content. On the first pages is the press release of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church from the regular session in May of this year, 2024. The following is a report on the celebration of twenty-five years of the archbishop's ordination of His Eminence the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Mr. Ioaniki, followed by his lecture entitled "The Spiritual Significance of Lithium in Montenegro".
Most of the texts are related to past major holidays: from Saint Basil to Ascension. A report on this year's celebration is dedicated to the Feast of St. Basil, as well as Rad Bulajić's text "St. Vasilije Ostroski, a true enlightener and teacher". The celebration of Markovdan is described in a report about the Podgorica procession on that day. The event of the celebration of St. John Vladimir in Bar was also reported. And Slavica Orlandić writes about this saint - the prince of Serbia. The day before the celebration of St. John, Emperor Constantine is commemorated, whose life readers can get acquainted with from the pen of another saint, Dimitri Rostovski. The inscription of the priest Goran Nuhanović is dedicated to the Ascension of the Lord: "Ascend to the heavens, O God, and on all earth your glory".
The glory of God was carried by the guardians of Orthodoxy in modern history, among them those about whom the new Svetigora is written. From Olivera Balaban's presentation, you will learn about the character of Metropolitan Jovan (Pavlović), and from Dr. Milan Joksović's presentation about the character of Pope Radovan Novović.
Through an interview with the director of the second Podgorica high school in Montenegro, "Sveti Sava", Mr. Jugoslav Blagojević, Svetigora introduces you to the first Orthodox high school in our country.
Finally, in addition to the usual archives and chronicles of the Metropolis, this issue brings a documentary supplement: List of graduates of the Prizren Theological Seminary from the Metropolis of Montenegro and the Littoral from 1919 to 1932.
