Presidents Mandić and Kover visited the Cetinje Monastery
The President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić visited today together with H.J. E. Lasl Kover, President of the National Assembly of Hungary, Cetinje Monastery, one of the largest sanctuaries of Montenegro and the Serbian Orthodox Church.
They were also met at the monastery by the Vice President of the Government of Montenegro for Education, Science and Religious Affairs, Budimir Aleksić, who greeted the esteemed guest and dear friend of our country. During the tour, President Kover was introduced to the history of the monastery and the importance it had, and certainly still has for our country.
The presidents bowed to the relics of Saint Peter of Cetinje, as well as the largest relics in the monastery - the right hand of St. John the Baptist and particles of the Holy Cross of the Lord.
After the tour of the monastery, there was a meeting with the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Mr. Ioanniki, who expressed his satisfaction about the meeting.
