Rough works on the construction of the "Sveti Sava" Orthodox High School in Podgorica will be completed by May of this year, while the construction of the St. Sava temple will be finished by September, said Dalibor Milaković, the city parish priest of Podgorica. The "Sveti Sava" school, as he emphasizes, will be the best equipped in Montenegro.
"The Sveti Sava Orthodox High School will be built on three floors," says the parish priest of Podgorica, Dalibor Milaković. He points out that the students will stay and study in the most modern conditions, and the high school will have eight classes.
"A total of two classes per generation, the capacity of the school is 200 students, the goal is that this high school also conducts general education. In addition to dedicated offices, the school will also have an amphitheater, where students would gather with professors, as well as a modern reading room," said Milaković for Gradska.
According to him, the Orthodox high school will have about 6,000 square meters, while the construction of the temple of St. Sava is planned in the school yard: "The first phase of rough work will be completed soon. Other phases are starting to be carried out at the school. As for the temple of St. Sava, in addition to the upper part of the temple, the church will also have a crypt, nearly 1000 m2 in area. The crypt is finished, now the walls are slowly moving, they are preparing for the upper part of the temple".
The school will officially start working in 2025, and it will also be the third generation of students, said Milaković.
