Russian state awards to deserving individuals on the occasion of the Day of National Unity
On the occasion of the Russian national holiday, the Day of National Unity, state recognitions of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots in Dispersion and International Social Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) were handed out in the Russian House in Belgrade. As a sign of good cooperation and gratitude for participation in the joint programs of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian House, as its representative office in Serbia, awards were given to deserving individuals from Serbia, the Republic of Srpska and Montenegro.
His Eminence the Bishop of Budamlje-Niššić, Mr. Metodije, and Violeta Simić, the former president of the Bela Crkva Municipality, were awarded with the badge of honor for their services in strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the Serbian and Russian people.
Honorary badge for contribution to the popularization of the Russian language, Russian science and culture was presented to prof. Dr. Marko Gutalj, vice-rector for international cooperation and quality assurance of the University of East Sarajevo and Darko Đog, professor of the Faculty of Theology at the University of East Sarajevo and priest of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
Vesna Vuković, professor of Russian language at the "Stojan Cerović" Gymnasium in Nikšić, was awarded the diploma of the Russian House for active work in the promotion of the Russian language and culture.
State awards were presented by the director of the Russian House, Yevgeny Baranov.
The Russian House expresses its gratitude to the laureates for their contribution to the development of Russian-Serbian relations!
