SPD JEDINSTVO KOTOR CELEBRATION IN MEMORY OF DECEASED MEMBERS AND SOCIALIZATION WITH NUMEROUS GUESTS
After the rich program of the Children's Academy of St. Sava in the Church of St. Nicholas in Kotor, where appropriate gifts and books were distributed to all the children (about Saint Sava, Saint Nicholas, Saint Stefan Dečanski, Orthodox religious education...) in the Treasury of SPCO Kotor in celebration of SPD Jedinstvo (1839) Kotor, with a commemoration of deceased members and prayer for the continuation of the fruitful work of the Society with the help of God and the help of Saint Sava, a celebratory cake was cut, and a traditional service was arranged.
Archpriest - Stavrophor Milenko Jekić said on that occasion that he had a special honor to greet all who came to the glory of Unity "when we invoke the Holy Spirit and Saint Sava to give us strength and power and all that is good, useful and blessed".
"Let's celebrate in health, happiness, joy and with blessings." May the Lord God grant that, just as our forefathers from the Serbian Singing Society Jedinstvo sang for themselves, their kindred and birth, for their Church, for religion and the nation in those difficult times, so that you may sing for many years, that you may be healthy, cheerful and blessed and may you celebrate. May the Lord God give us everything we wanted, and may Saint Sava, our protector of the family, nation and religion, fulfill it and bring you every blessing. Cheers to many more summers," said Father Milenko.
Board member Petar Bukilica spoke in front of the Union. He called on the Patron Saint of Saint Sava "to preserve Unity for many summers", and those present to pray for the souls of all deceased members of the Society, whose work has been woven into the history and life of the ancient city until today. "Let us pray for the souls of those who incorporated a part of themselves into Unity and contributed to its existence for 186 years. We owe special thanks to our dear sisters from the Circle of Serbian Sisters Kotor, who meet us every year and help us prepare the celebration beautifully. We would also like to thank the Kuznetsov family and everyone who helped in any way to prepare and celebrate the celebration beautifully," said Bukilica.
The members of Jedinstva then confirmed their magnificent musical talent at the gathering with the traditionally numerous guests at the celebration in the Treasury of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kotor.
