"Sveti Sava" Gymnasium: Happy and blessed beginning of the school year!
The school bell of the "Sveti Sava" Gymnasium announced the beginning of the new school year, inviting students to an exciting journey through the world of learning and socializing.
Whether by chance or not, just like a blessing from heaven, the sound of the bell was joined by the bass of the bell from the ancient Church of St. George under Gorica, near whose foundations are located the temporary premises of the second Podgorica gymnasium.
School director Jugoslav Blagojević addressed the gathered students and teachers with words of welcome, wishing them a happy start. He first addressed the first generation that broke the ice and promoted the gymnasium the best, and this year the school, which enrolled the second generation, is richer for two classes.
The director expressed satisfaction with that and highlighted the advantages and qualities of the Orthodox high school, which follows the challenges of modern society and which, like any other high school, enables its graduates to enter all faculties.
The class elders gave the curious first class their first lesson in a school that generously opens the door not only to knowledge and skills, but also to friendship, in which, in addition to definitions, formulas and notes, they will learn the most important life lessons - honor, beauty, love.
High school students were also delighted by the presence of professor Vesko Drašković, who announced an upcoming meeting and a lesson on healthy lifestyles in a unique amphitheater under a clear sky.
The students of "Sveti Sava" Gymnasium will attend classes in excellently equipped rooms this year, and next school year, as planned, they will move to their school, which is being built at the Old Airport.
