THE KOTOR EDITION OF THE EUROPEAN ART FESTIVAL HELD
"PRIMUS VASELJENA", the Montenegrin edition of the European art festival "Pesmo moja low rosary", was opened last night in the portico of the Church of St. Nicholas in Kotor.
According to the founder of the festival, Marija Vikotrija, the European Art Festival lasts throughout the year, and in 2024 it will be held in 20 countries and 30 cities. It will be held in four cities in Montenegro.
"The European festival is conceived completely differently from all the usual festivals. It lasts throughout the year. This is a never-ending festival, because when it ends in 2024, the year-long festival will begin in 2025. We have artistic events all year round," says the artist.
He states that they are performing tonight in Budva, tomorrow in Podgorica and the day after that in Bar, organized by the Association of Businessmen and Artists PRIMUS VASELJENA from Belgrade.
"We started the festival in June in Trebinje, by participating in the Vidovdan Literary Meetings, and continued in Dubrovnik.
After Montenegro, at the end of November - beginning of December, we are planning performances in Trieste, Vienna, Bratislava. We join a big film festival, and then we continue: Novi Sad, Sombor, Timisoara, Budapest" - she explains.
There are a total of 30 participants in each city, seven of which are from Belgrade.
The Kotor edition included the poets Marija Viktorija, Biljana Milivojević, Srđan Leković, Miljan Nikolić, Savka Gudović Parađina, Mile Albijanić painter and poet, Natalija Đaletić editor, Sonja Vukčević violinist and Dubravka Ivanović painter and the vocal ensemble "Brojanica".
The vocal ensemble "Brojanica" was founded in 2019.
Marija Viktorija thanked the poet Biljana Milivojević for her help in organizing the festival in Kotor.
"When you start something nice, you don't know how it will develop further. But when a man has only good will, and lacks everything else, and he has love, then God helps" - says Milivojević.
The Kotor edition of the festival was organized by the Serbian Orthodox Church of Kotor.
