The myrrh-flowing icon of the Mother of God "Softening of Evil Hearts" will come to Montenegro again on July 9, to the joy of numerous believers and the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro. Last year, let us remind you, on the eve of the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a large number of believers, in endless columns in the Church of the Resurrection of Christ, as well as in the Church of St. George, came to worship this miraculous icon and image of the Blessed Mother of God who blessed them with her visit. Sergej Leonidovich brought the icon to Mitropoli accompanied by our famous basketball player Nikola Mirotic and his wife Nina.

This year, this great shrine of Russia and the whole universe will be in Montenegro until July 16, and from July 16 to 18 it will be in Serbia.

Arrival schedule for Montenegro:

On July 9 and 10, the "Seven-pointed icon of the Virgin Mary", as it is also called, will be exhibited in the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ in Podgorica, where the Holy Liturgy will also be served. Faithful people will be able to worship and heal the icon of the Most Holy Mother of God all day long.

On July 11, the icon will be available for kissing and all-day veneration in the Cathedral of St. John Vladimir in Bar, where the Liturgy will also be celebrated that day.

On July 12, this saint will come to the Ostrog Monastery, and on that occasion, the Holy Liturgy will be served in the Lower Monastery, while the faithful will be able to worship the miracle-working image of the Mother of God all day long.

On July 13, the icon will visit and bless the Somina monastery in the town of Hercegova Luka in Banjani, where a festive welcome will be held with all-day worship, a vigil, as well as worship during the night until the early hours of the morning;

On July 14, the consecration of the Church of the Mother of God Softening of Evil Hearts is planned, as well as a whole day of worship by the faithful.

On July 15, the abbot of the Kumanica Monastery, Father Nikolaj, together with the faithful, will solemnly welcome the icon of the Holy Mother of God, and it will be possible for the faithful to spend the whole day in prayer. Every day, on July 16, the Holy Liturgy will be served in this monastery with all-day worship until the departure for Užice, from where they will go to Novi Sad.

About the miraculous icon of the Mother of God "Softening of Evil Hearts"

One of the great sanctuaries of today's Russia is precisely the miracle-working icon of the Holy Mother of God "Softening of Evil Hearts", which is actually a "Semistreljnaya" (seven arrows) icon, whose peace-loving image is located in the village of Bachurino near Moscow, where it was built for her with the blessing of the Shiarchimandrite Ilya chapel.

When you approach it, you immediately feel a gentle and holy fragrance, and on the surface you can see small drops of "heavenly dew", scattered on the face, like tiny transparent pearls. The icon has been pouring myrrh for 24 years and is rightly called "alive", because it instantly reacts to certain events in society by pouring myrrh or bleeding. It is rare to find her in the chapel, where two more icons flow, because she "travels" around the world and heals the suffering and the weak.

The icon depicts the Blessed Virgin Mary without the Child of God with seven arrows or swords piercing Her heart. In this case, seven arrows pierce the Immaculate Body, about which the righteous Simeon the God-bearer prophesied, addressing Her with the words: "And a sword will pierce your own soul, so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed." (Lk. 2, 34-35)" , which signifies the fullness of sorrow, which the Blessed Virgin Mary suffered in her earthly life.

Anyone who touches this icon of the Most Holy Theotokos does not leave without the gracious help and intercession of the Mother of God.

The commission for the scientific study of miraculous phenomena of the Moscow Patriarchate examined the icon. They took myrrh to study its composition. Scientists have determined that it is similar to the "juice" secreted by a coniferous tree that grows in warm countries, and which has five life-giving properties. Among them: wound healing, antidepressant, etc. They even made a movie about it.

The fame of the peaceful icon went far beyond the borders of Russia. She visited the Czech Republic, Italy, Germany, USA, Australia, Ukraine, Belarus. The miraculous icon visited Athos - Mount Athos five times. In honor of the icon, a temple was built in Cyprus.

The Softening of Evil Hearts icon continues to flow. Many hands are reaching out towards her. They reach out to feel the warmth and love of the Mother of God, who knows the pain of every heart that is turned to Her Son.
